I’m Robert Shapiro, a wholesale gem dealer to the jewelry trade. I have been importing Australian Boulder Opals for over 25 years. I’ve enjoyed working with many of the finest jewelry designers working today. My specialty of one-of-a-kind Australian opals, together with the talents of many great jewelers, has helped promote the recognition and understanding of this wonderful gemstone. After more than 40 trips to Australia working with many different miners and cutters, I’ve gained the knowledge to help jewelers with their Australian Boulder Opal and Doublet needs.

Robert is a Member in Good Standing with the AGTA. (American Gem Trade Association). He also has won 3 Spectrum Cutting Edge Awards for Phenomenal Gemstones, one in 2015 and two in 2016.
